Artist bio
Cristina is a multidisciplinary artist. She grew up in Monterrey, Mexico, where she received a BA in Graphic Design
from Universidad de Monterrey. After working in local advertising agencies for several years, she and her sister founded
their design studio, Stelier, in 2010. That same year, she moved to Dallas, TX.
Four years later, while living on the East Coast, she started learning loom weaving and knotting techniques. Since then,
she has worked on art pieces ranging from jewelry to installations. The techniques and fibers in her work generate a
cultural connection with her country and roots. She moved again to Dallas in 2015, where she currently resides
with her family.
In 2020, Cristina participated and was one of the winners of the Galleria Dallas Artist Showcase. She was selected
by Erin Cluley of Erin Cluley Gallery in Dallas, TX. That same year, she was one of the artists chosen to be part
of the 'Made By You' advertising campaign by Michaels. In 2022, she created an installation featured in The Other Art
Fair Dallas, and was part of group exhibitions in Bath House Cultural Center and South Dallas Cultural Center.
